I have a infocus dlp 4805 projector it 2 years old and has a 600 hours on the bulb. It is ceiling mounted and worked fine a week ago. I am absolutely sure that it wasn't physically damaged. I am at a loss at how it could have broke on it's own

I turn it on to play some xbox and I noticed right away the upper left corner of the screen was missing otherwise the image looked the same. It appears that the light might be blocked. I was hoping that bulb wasn't seated or a bug climbed in there. So I took it down removed the bulb didn't see anything. I read the dust cleaning post so I carefully took the lens out sprayed the inside the chamber and assembled the projector. No change.

Any ideas?

This (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=6744722&&#post6744722) is your problem. Although it's for the X1, 4805 has the same problem and can be repaired the same way. Since your 4805 is out of warranty it will be best to try to fix it yourself, have someone fix it for you or simply upgrade to 720p.
