I recently purchased a Samsuung HT-TX72 HTIB system and wired everything to my Westy W4207. I have my set-top-box wired via HDMI to the recievers HDMI in port and the reciever is wired out to the tv via HDMI as well. Optical in is currently being occupied by my 360 for digital audio. As for the audio i cant complain, it sounds great for what i paid for it.
My issue is, when im watching a DVD through the 5-disc upconvert DVD player i get flashing black screens periodically. It can happen 5 minutes into the movie or 45 minutes in. Its always different and with different movies on original store bought movies. Sometimes it will flash once, sometimes twice or 3 times.
Now, when i watch my set-top through the reciever also over HDMI, it always works flawlessly. Havnt had 1 issue. I have tryed swapping the reciever out for a new one as well as the HDMI cables. The problem occurs in standard 480, 720p and 1080i. Everyone i ask says it has to be the player. To me it almost seems like a refresh/sync problem.
I would honestly appreciate any help you can give me with this issue. I searched the forum for any similar problems and couldnt find the answer. If there is any additional info you need let me know.
Thanks again!
