hi, i just bought a panasonic pt-ax100u and i am having some trouble setting it up. i have 2 problems:

1st: i need screws to fit into my mount. what is the screw size that fits into the bottom of the pj?

2nd: my power cord from my old pj is fed through our ceiling and is very difficult to move. the power cored from my old pj fits into the new one and the standby light turns on. is this safe? both cords are rated 125 volts but the old cord is rated 2.5A and the new one is rated 7A. is this safe?

Can you elaborate on the power cord being fed through the ceiling?

Quite a difference the amp rating. May not be the best idea, but should be fine still.

There has to be an easy way to determine the screws. Maybe try to pull up the manual online for the Pansonic mount?

I am looking at the spec sheet right now and this unit draws 3.5 amps max. I'm sure your old cord should be fine if its at or under 6 feet. Over that I would replace it with the new one.
Screws. Mine came with a free mount and I just did the trial and error thing. If you want you can tuck that sucker under your arm and head to the local HW store and see all the looks you get. The screws that came with mine are not marked or else I'd tell you. I can tell you that the ones I used were about 3/4 of an inch long to get thru the mount feet into the pj . But I dont know the tread size.

If you have a can of hardware laying around(who doesnt? you can experiment.
