I bought my Toshiba HD-A2 in April and I really love it.
I do not particularly care for the "special features in a box" way HD-DVDs do a lot of their special features -- One can not watch the special features stand-alone.
My concern is that I have read a few articles that lead me to believe HD-DVD may not survive the "war." I originally thought we would just have both formats; however, I notice some of the new films are only coming out in DVD and Blu-Ray.
Anyone else worried?

Did you also happen to notice that some of the new releases are HD-DVD or DVD only? Don't believe the BDA or fanboys, Toshiba would not be releasing 3 new player next month if they was giving up.

If you have the player already what's the problem??? On the special features most titles DO NOT utilize PiP very much. You should be able to watch 95% of special features standalone as you put it.
As to why some movies are coming out on Blu-Ray and not HD DVD. Look at what studios make what movies. Blu Ray and HD DVD each have studios that are neutral and each have studios that are exclusive. For example the 3rd Pirates movie is Columbia/Tri Star thus DVD/BD only. Universal owns the Bourne series so Ultimatum will be DVD/HD DVD only. simple as who owns what.
