I'm new at this "video recording" thing, so be nice. Snicker if you must, but you won't laugh at me louder than I do.
I got my very own Polaroid DRA-01601A today. It seems kind of groovy. The only thing I can't do so far is I recorded to HDD and when I try to follow the instructions to send that puppy to the DVD, I get nothing. Here are my questions:
1. When I put in a blank DVD, does it format automatically? I assume so, as it comes up with the type of DVD I put in. If I have to wait, does this scientific machine let me know when it's done?
2. In following the destructions, I am told to PRESS ADD/CLEAR to select the program I want to zap over. I do that, and get a little yellow icon that has a RED LINE through it. That is not normally a good thing.
3. Still keeping with the destructions, I press HDD and wait.....and wait......and wait. Is there any way you can tell it really is sending things to the DVD? That would be an excellent feature, one I use in most of my programs.
I end up watching TV, and nothing gets copied anywhere. Am I missing something, have a defective unit, defective brain, or did they leave a step out? It's just a SWAG, but I think I need to get the line out of the icon in order to do anything.
Thanks for the feedback! I work on all kinds of stuff, and in 30 years, this might be my second time to ask for help, so we gots to get kudos out to Polaroid from me.
