I am surprised that no one has talked about this program yet. I've enjoyed it quite a bit this past Wednesday. The fact that it was produced in HD was the icing in the cake.

IMHO, I don't think they could have selected a better team than the Chiefs to do this program this year - so many stories, the QB fight to be the #1, the holdout RB, the old RB trying a comeback, the suspended DB...

Next Wednesday, and for the next Wednesdays, my wife knows at 10 the HDTV set is mine :) Actually, she loved the program, too!

I enjoyed it as well, of course I am a big Chiefs fan. They did a great job of telling the stories of each player they showed. It also didn't hurt anything seeing Brodie Croyle's wife. WOW!!!

Loved the first season of this series with the Ravens. Did they do a second year with them? But I didn't care much for the Dallas season (maybe it's because I hate the Cowboys. :p )

One thing that HBO does exceedingly well is theme songs. 'Six Feet Under' had one of the best of all time, and 'Deadwood', 'The Sopranos', and 'Rome' all had memorable themes. Even the current, castigated 'John from Cincinnati' has a great theme/montage, some might say the best part of the show. So it was with the first season of 'Hard Knocks' - a crescendoing cascade of drumrolls that really got you geeked up for the show, as a good theme song/intro montage should.

So my question is: As long as HBO is reviving this program, why not bring back that terrific original opening-theme as well? I guarantee it would result in a few more viewers and a higher "approval rating" for the show, even if it contributes to that sentiment on an unconscious level. Music, especially pounding drumbeat which seems to register on an almost primitive-brain level, can have that effect on you.

Yeah, I didn't expect this one to be in HD. Wonder what they'll do with "Inside the NFL" this year.

Yeah, Brodie Croyels wife is a hotty. did you see the shot as she was bending down to reach in a a drawer as she was helping him pack for training camp? Her blouse just happened to be loose enough to treat the cameraman with a great cleavage shot. Really hot. But she talks too much and I think that dude is glad to be getting away for a few weeks. Talking on the phone to her 3 times a day? not likely

I wish they would focus on my redskins some season
