The Blackfield DVD recorded at the Bowery Ballroom, NYC on 16th March 2007, is nearing completion and is set for release on 15th October in Europe and 6th November in the USA, through KScope/Snapper. The DVD, entitled "BLACKFIELD:NYC - Live in New York City", includes the whole concert edited by Lasse Hoile, with sound mixed into stereo and 5.1 surround sound by Steven Wilson.

Just thought I would re awaken this thread since I just recieved an email from Burning Shed that my copy has shipped. Originally it was to be released on the 15th but then went to Oct 29. Nice to see it ship out early. can't wait for this one.

I've had mine for a few days now.

Excellent concert, excellent disc. The only thing that bothers me slightly is that what you get here is more or less exactly what you got on the albums. That's why "Glow" and the surprise track were the highlights of the show for me. Very refreshing, and in the case of Glow, spine-chillingly emotional.

I can't judge the surround mix since so far I only watched it in stereo. But I'm pretty sure it'll be great :D

How did you get that so fast?

Well, believe it or not, but it was simply in stores over where I live. If you're interested I bought it in one of the Metalzone (http://www.lsp-company.com/) stores in Belgium. They also have it available for mail order.
