Watching via Brighthouse cable and it seems a little bit-starved. Not as bad as Notre Dame on NBC, but not up to the usual CBS standards. Will check OTA when I have to get up and get another beer.

Getting a lot of snapping with DD 5.1

Not up to typical CBS standards here in Minneapolis on WCCO via OTA (no multicasting). Tons more artifacting than normal on motion and lots of static and pops in the audio.

Very slight artifacting, barely noticeable, looks outstanding for the most part,OTA LA.Easily the best looking preseason football yet.

WLNS in Lansing, MI, no digital subs. Both OTA and Comcast have noticeable blocking during action shots and on slow motion replays. Limited movement shots look great, color is very good.

Hopefully by the regular season, this is cleared up. Could CBS be limiting the bandwidth in their expansion to have up to 6 games per week in HD?

Picture is excellent here in NY via Cablevision.
They seem to have corrected the on again/off again soft focus problem they had with the mid field cam on most Jets HD broadcasts form the Meadowlands last season. Lets hope it stays that way when the real season starts.

We aren't watching the same game they are. They are talking about the CBS national game of NO vs Buf and you are talking about the WCBS production of the Jets vs Atl. The Jets game looked really good the little I watched.

anyone else getting a jittery intermittent line of pixels at the top of their screen? I only get it from the main camera, all other cameras are fine.

I am getting in over the air and it looks terrible. I thought I had it on the non HD channel at first. The game on Fox last night looked 100% better.

Could it be your TV? The game came on here at 10pm after the ATL-NYJ game and the HD was outstanding. I was watching via digital cable. CBS' picture IMO is better than FOX's, if you ask me. FOX's HD is really good, but CBS is top-notch.

I also get a jittery static like line on the very top of the screen on various channels. Sometimes it is just on non HD commercials while watching an HD channel, but now it seems to be random channels and not all the time. Wonder if it has to do with HDMI connection to cable box--I don't seem to recall seeing it when using components. Coupld this be a cable box issue. I have a Time Warner Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR

CBS football isn't as great as Fox's production, IMO. The replays on CBS look a little strained but other gameplay is okay. Fox gives a clear picture most of the time, probably because of 720p format use. But really by just switching between channels, it's extremely hard to tell. Maybe CBS is looking to use extra bandwidth for more games.(Of course, ruining HD quality.)

Ever since FOX began doing HD football I have never seen one of their games come close to the quality that CBS puts out.CBS/1080i has always looked better to me,better than ESPN as well.

Both my brother and I thought it was softer than usual CBS Sunday games...through Comcast in Philly....no idea why but it didn't have the details the PGA Championships had.....mayba all their HDMobile Trucks were tied up with the PGA event ???

I checked on other HD sets in the house and they all looked bad. Maybe it is my local station here doing something or not getting a good feed. Other OTA channels looked great.

I know this is a CBS thread...but does anyone else find the down/distance & score on the top of the Fox NFL telecasts annoying? It runs all the way across the screen with a black bar. I find it distracting & annoying? Many times it runs right across the helmets of players. Maybe it is just me :)

I didn't think the NO-BUF picture was that good on WCBS via Cablevision when it was joined after the Jets-ATL game.

It's the same insert graphic package they used last year. I personally find the dancing robot much more annoying.

No, I worked the game. We were on NEP SS 24, the CBS NFL 'A' Show truck, one of the top HD mobile units in the country... same truck that did the Super Bowl last year. For golf they use HD trucks from another vendor, NMT, who actually modeled their truck after SS 24.
