I see a lot of buzz about their receivers around this forum, but never hear anything about their speakers. Going by reviews from random users from google searching they seem like they are pretty good. Is there a reason why there are almost no professional reviews and no buzz on this forum?

If you search through, there have been a few threads on their speakers, particularly the Natural Sound versions (NS-XXX). I used to own a set of bookshelves, and they were excellent for the price I paid (<$50/pair). If you can find them for relatively cheap, they are good contenders for most big box store speakers, such as low end Infinity and JBL. Once you start heading in the $150+/speaker range, there are a lot of other options, which are more widely discussed here.

I'll throw in that they can make great college speakers, since they're relatively inexpensive, look great, and sound good, but they do lack some punch that JBLs give.

Edit: Although the speakers are decent value for the price, skip the subs. There are much better sub options for the money.
