I am looking to buy an HDTV mainly for gaming on my 360. I was thinking about either getting the Samsung TX-T3093WH slimfit, or Samsung LNT-2354H LCD. I was also looking at the Olevia 227V. I know only one of these is a CRT but I wasn't sure where to really post. I am only worried about the LCDs because of gamer lag. This is going in my room so I can't go bigger than the TX-T3093WH. I also don't want to go much over $700 but if you know another tv I should look into I am all ears.

The 30" Samsung isnt a bad choice, if only because it's the only HD CRT still available. But be sure to check the geometry thoroughly. If it's bad, take it back and get a good one. Geometry is the primary problem with Slimfits.

I am planning to go with the Samsung once I get the money. (i should have it in a few weeks) My friend has an older model and he has a little bit of a geometry problem but just thought it was a problem upscaling old games until I showed how it obscured the text on some 360 games. He is gonna call in about it today. I also have a good idea of what to look for now when I get mine. I do believe its a good tv other than that one issue and the newer models are supposed to be better about it. Its also a good price $570.

My local WalMart still carries the Sanyo 30" CRT HDTV. Your local store may not. but it's another possibility.
Knowing what I do about Samsung products, I would take my chances on a Sanyo if given the choice.

Agree with save money. If you have Value City, it's SANYO 30" w/ HD tuner : 299.99

I haven't been there. I know a different chain that always does come-ons= none in stock!
Advertised this Sunday circular at Value City.
Modern LCD's are not affected by lag, their response times are very fast. If that's your only consideration, get the LCD.

Its not my only consideration. I have to consider price since I am in school and dont have a steady stream of cash. You also will get better blacks, better sound, and you don't have to worry about blurry images. I don't think there are any Sanyo CRT's around. I think the Samsung is the only one left. I don't live in a really big city so there are not a lot of options. Louisiana isn't tech central lol.

I would call call around the local Circuit City's and see if they have any new/demo units of the Sony XBR970 CRT. Users are reporting prices around $400, and worth 3 times as much as that.
THIS (one) is a definite winner. :)
