I have wanted to get into amateur level calibration for my HT projector, but cost for the software and gadgets has kept me from making that leap. Plus, there’s so much to learn, just thinking about it gives me a headache. Now I have stepped into the wide format printing arena and I need to buy a gadget to calibrate my monitor to match my printer.

Is there any way to kill both birds with one gadget and software package? After dumping a couple grand on a printer, I’m a wee bit cash poor. I do have a laptop that I can use for this, so that expense is taken care of.

….thanks.

Will the Spyder2 Pro do this? It looks as if it does Monitors, but no mention of projectors. http://www.colorvision.com/product-mc-s2p.php

Yes the Spyder2 Pro will work great for your monitor. For your projector you will need 3rd party software to calibrate it to NTSC, PAL or HD standards.
