Thought I'd pass along this great piano-jazz SACD. It's over on TELARC, I've listened to it a whole lot this weekend. Several of the cuts are really fantastic. If I had to characterize it I would say LATIN jazz. But, many of the cuts are different and fresh. Enjoy!

"Triangulo" is another excellent SACD from Camilo. I really like his work and have seen him live in NYC. I will have to check if "Why Not?" is available in SACD.

Michel Camilo does do some good stuff. I hear him a lot on XM Ch 72, Beyond Jazz.

Michel Camilo is a superb, classically trained, jazz pianist from Dominica. Pianist-Supreme! I've seen him perform, he's a beautiful player.

All his material is excellent. If you can check out one of his original popular debut (Redbook) CD's titled "Michel Camilo", it's wonderful.
