Are there any two player co-op games out or coming out soon that are any good?

Online or off? R:FoM has offline and Rainbow Six has online (4 player actually)

I was looking for online with co-op through storymode. Not like rfom online death matches and what not.

Haze and Army of 2 are supposedly coming out within a few months. That sounds like what you're looking for.

Haze is 4 person online or offline coop thru the entire storymode with everything included. It even has a system that will let a 2nd player jump in while a single player is going at it, without having to end to a loading screen or anything. The AI will adjust to the higher threat and will act accordingly.

Army of 2 is geared to being a full coop game, designed to be played with a partner.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom, off the top of my head.

I love co op. Right now the 360 has more available. Halo3 will have 4 person storymode co op. Blacksite will have 2 person. GOW has 2 person. Graw2 has 2 person missions. The outfit has story mode co op, but no saves. Perfect dark zero has 2 person.

I still play old xb0x co op games like doom3 and serious sam2.

agree'd a very fun, light hearted game, with tons of unlockables. Most of the "vehical" levels suck thou...

Will haze still have 4 person co op? Sad that blacksite canceled the co op part of the game.

UT3 has online story mode. Not sure how many friends you can play along with, But I played story mode for a while with a buddy online.

thanks for the lego info. i cant believe they did all 6 movies. will have to check out a demo. Its very difficult trying to find co-op games to play with the wife. Right now all the games are more geared to fps types.

Will it do split screen? I read most of the thread and didnt find anything on a split screen mode. if i could play this with the wife then id pick it up. Even if it was only a deathmatch with bots and us two running around. it would be serious fun.

I guess there is a reason the consoles only come with one controller. hehehe. Might have to buy a second console and get a second cable modem. ;)

If she remotely likes star wars, I think she'll love it!

It's pretty easy, basic controls jump, attack, and collect game/platformer.

Unfortunately, no demo, but I'm happy to report it's pretty solid, and the cut scenes have a slapstick quirk to them, pantomiming the original films. It's no epic game, but it's fun and is fun to play to pas the time with someone else. You can also character switch on the fly, each having different abilities.

Go check out some reviews and vids, it;s pretty much what you see is what you get, only over 6 episodes, broken up into 6 chapters each, plus a bunch of extra "rooms" to play around in.

i haven't heard of any plans to remove it. i think the online co-op for haze is something they're counting on as a big selling point. i really believe that haze, if done right, could be a "halo" like franchise (but i think they're really pushing killzone 2 to be the face of the PS3 when it releases.)
i was disappointed that haze was bumped back, but also delighted that they want to make sure it's polished. i have it at the top of my most desired games list right now.

but i am hoping for lego star wars for Christmas. i was going to pick it up but remembered i put it down as a wanted game for the in-laws. :(

Thanks for the list. just printed it out. Thats a huge list of games. I was expecting like maybe 10 or so.
Anyway i have the 80gig ps3 so hopefully im covered. If im not then im gonna be disapointed.

i don't think haze has been dated since it's push back, but i think early 2008, probably after january.

i don't know if killzone will or not... hope so, but no clue. but i read it got pushed back to fall around october/november. :(
