I've done a lot of searching through this forum, panasonic's website and the internet in general, and I can't seem to find any answers to this question:

Is the Panasonic TH-42PZ700 and the TH-42PZ700U the same tv? I saw them both being referred to as one (I think) in another thread.

Panasonic's website only lists the 700U.

If anyone can help me out, that would be great.

The reason I was curious about this was:

I work at a major electronics retailer and we have an epp rebate going on that only applies to the 700.

I didn't wanna end up getting the 700U and have my rebate rejected, cause that would suck.

The U means it's a USA model.
