No ... the ISF seminars are usually like a traveling road show ... sometimes they come to your area ... sometimes not.

Datacolor offers ISF training out of their New Jersey office a few times a year ...

Other than that, check the ISF website to see the locations nearest to you and the timing.

Sencore's Professional A/V Setup and Calibration Training & Certification course continues to set the standard for our industry with the best and most comprehensive training available to AV Installers today. Over three days and two evening sessions, and a full 1/3 of the course is dedicated to hands-on exercises where students calibrate and tune multiple projector and display types, and multi-channel audio systems.

Since its inception, Sencore has continually strived to improve the course, and has recently added the following evening tracks:

ISF Certification Preparation — Immediately following the video classes students review and prepare for the ISF Certification test. Students that attend the Academy are eligible to take the ISF test and receive ISF certification upon successful completion of the test. Once students complete the prep session they are given instructions on contacting ISF to schedule testing at an extremely reduced rate ($250). Students can get their ISF Certification and all the benefits and privileges (Web listing, referral service, etc) without actually attending the ISF seminar (although, they do endorse and recommend that you attend this course at some time).

Business Building Roundtable — OK, sometimes this gets pretty wild – especially when you put 30 plus AV nerds in a room to discuss how they do business! Seriously though, this is a student favorite during the week where business owners and installers from across the country share what's working and what's not in the AV world - everything from profitable jobs, estimating, how to sell value added services, to tricks of the trade. It's a great time and usually goes well into the evening.
