I know we all have resonance problems. Ive got rid of all of my resonance pbroblems except for the fire detector and one window(it has three horizontal slats). Its not so much the frame thats rattling but its the actual window panes that are rattling the most...as you all know this is annoying as hell. Anybody have any diy fixes for this? All suggestions are helpful no matter how radical ;) I don't absolutely need the use of the window as long as it will hold a seal.

I got an idea!!!
Do something to change the frequency at which your window resonates: if its thick... why not sand it down so that the thinner window now only vibrates at frequencies above 20kHz.
Not extremely practical, but the other thing could be damping it with some weighted material to reduce its oscillating. Consider hanging multiple sticky cups to it with something weighted in it. Try and make it look pretty... and slow the glass down.
I'm in a bit of a goofy mood but all-in-all, the suggestion goes to its mechanics, it likely resonates because there is some sympathetic frequency that is output by your system.
If it's the pane itself that's rattling, maybe you could put silicone around it (using a caulking gun). When it cures, I would think that it would keep the pane from moving around very much. I tried doing that with some of my old single-paned windows just to kind of seal them up (I don't know if it would have stopped them rattling or not). Just another thought!
