I was just wandering how everybody use their port tuning? Do you plug one port for movies or have the turbo on. for music have both ports unplugged and switch to 25hz? And also how far does the turbo go inside the ports on the subwoofer? My turbo overhangs on the back of the subwoofer by about a 1/2" should it be flush w/ the back?

I have a turbo for my VTF-3 HO, but I discovered that I like it better off and the sub in "max output" mode.
There was no overhang with that sub. It was flush.
My room is over 6000 cubic feet and the 3.3 sounds more dynamic without the turbo. With the turbo on, the sound was dull and uneventful. If you have a small room, from what I have read on these forums, the turbo works fine. In larger rooms, the turbo is MUSH!
My room is 2500 cubic feet and w/ turbo its okay. It seems to sound better w/ one port plugged and switched to 18hz. The hsu 3.3 sub is more then enough for my room. I have a fish tank built into the wall kinda worried that if I turn it up to loud something might happen to the tank(Is that possible?)

I doubt it, not with an HSU atleast :p
DIY, different story.

I am using the turbo with my HO but I also have the mbm-12. I used it before the mbm-12 w/turbo and while it was nearfield was fine when I moved to the only front corner I lost a little impact and without the mbm-12 may have decided to go without the turbo.
