I purchased a home that has a 12ft wide by 19ft long media room, 9-10ft ceiling, prewired at the front of the room to all four corners of the ceilings of the room.

I have no existing audio system or speakers. I'd like to maintain a tight budget, because no one in my home seems to appreciates a theater experience like I do.
I was thinking about purchasing two pairs of in-ceiling speakers (Pyle Audio PDIC81RD for $40/pair) to take advantage of the pre-existing wiring.

I plan in the next 3 months to buy a 1080p HDTV plasma 40"+.

So what home theater systems (receivers / amps), speakers, and setups do you recommend. I'd like to stay under 1k and to use the pre-exisiting wiring. Suggestions?

Another reason why I'm on a tight budget is that I need a surround sound system for a difficult and open living room space. This room is not prewired. It is 16ft long x 20ft wide x 20ft+ ceiling.

A new HDTV is being delivered next week, and I'd like to setup the sound system as quickly as possible.

Because of wiring concerns, I'm considering one of those new fancy HTIB with wireless rear surround. Do you gentlemen and gentleladies have any recommendations for me? I'd also like to keep this under the $1k mark.
