I've heard the DVD International talking about the new release of DVE disc coming out on Oct. 30, 2007. For a reasonable of $30US money. That isn't too bad since it is rated one of the best do-it-yourself just follows the wizard Cal. disc by Joe Kane's. Is anyone had the chance to get them pre-order? Finally, it is will going to be my first ever owned calibration disc. I've received my blue glass filters from THX yesterday. Got my BLUE glass Filter ON!

NP. I'll sure make a pretty good use of it once I do get the disc. Get familiars with all the colors, hue, etc...then will call the ISF pro if needed. For sure I can live with out-of-the-box manufac. settings on my plasma until the cow came home (DVE blu version). Lot of patience will pay off.

I'm pretty disappointed with the actual screens for calibration on the HD-DVD DVE disc. I'm sure the BR version will have the same disappointment.
There is a LINK HERE (http://www.videoessentials.com/dvehd/index.html) to let you know what is on the disc, so you can be forewarned about what you might like to have on the disc, and what it doesn't have (which is alot of actual useful and practical video calibration screens the average guy can use.).
Official ranting and raving HERE (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showpost.php?p=11355428&postcount=101) and HERE (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showpost.php?p=11356463&postcount=5)

Page 3 tells you there is a 720p-section on the disc.
Page 69 tells you whats in the 720p section. And that section contains everything I need to calibrate black and white levels, grayscale, color decoding (color intensity) and gamut (if a CMS is present).
Above parameters is NOT resolution dependent, thats why they are not needed in the 1080p section.
I think HD DVE has all you need on terms of content and documentation.
