I haven't really read any comments on the SACDs and what is the complaint? sivadselim 08-16-07, 07:06 PM I haven't really read any comments on the SACDs and what is the complaint? They're compressed, the mix is terrible, the bass is terrible, etc. etc.. The SACDs probably only make what's bad about them sound even worse. HERE (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=745375) is the thread for these discs. Slim GoodBooty 08-16-07, 08:06 PM That thread is a year old and about the release of the discs. ematcion 08-17-07, 01:05 AM I got the SACD/DVD boxset, but I haven't even open it. Just don't have enough time. Despite what some have said about the sound quality, I'm going to keep an open mind about it. sivadselim 08-17-07, 01:14 AM That thread is a year old and about the release of the discs. The end of the thread isn't a year old. :) locomo 08-19-07, 11:46 PM I only listened to Trick of the Tail, and it sounded very compressed. It the only SACD or DVD-A that I've every sold. ca1ore 08-21-07, 03:46 PM I just got this and am very impressed so far. Does anyone else have this version? I think you should listen for yourself! I personally like the SACDs and do not find them as compressed as others do. The bass is not terrible, Phil's vocals have a clarity unmatched on any previous release, and instrument separation is also better than ever before, allowing you to hear nuances and effects that were previously obscured. |
