Which is better (money value shouldn't be in the equation since I can get both for the same price) the Velodyne VX-10C, or the Boston XB4?

I purchased the XB4 yesterday, but i'm sort of regretting it. It sounds too weak. I previously had a Bose Acoustimass (the speakers sucked, but the sub was really good). I hated the speakers so much that I decided to build my own theatre set. I'm using Polk R300s for the 4 main speakers, and an CSR for the center. I'm looking to get a really nice sub in the below $250 range.

Anyone?
And if it makes any difference, I care A LOT more about music, then getting lows for my movies.

If you can stretch your budget a little bit, i believe this would be a much better choice than either of the 2 you listed.

but if i had to go with either one of the 2 you selected i would defiantly go with the Velodyne personally

The VX10 offers better value since you can buy one for well under $200.00. If you can stretch you budget to $300.00, the best bang for the buck is the ED A2-250, which also includes shipping.

The velodyne should sound better but the BA will take a better beating... Again, this is my Honest opinion.

I've run a VX10 through the paces on a lot of hefty sound tracks (WOW, Sky Captain, Lost In Space, The Incredibles etc... and it never gave in. Even with the movie Pulse it experienced some port turbulence, but never bottomed out and I was really pushing it. With my special set up techniques ;) it shouldn't be an issue. :D
