I picked up the latest issue of EGM. I had my doubts during the beta but the game looks fantastic now!

Ya, Korn and thrillhouse have something against halo. Pretty soon Thrill will be posting in here about how this thread should be in the halo section and should be locked. I post new info. and pics for halo in a separate thread because without halo there wouldn't even be an xbox 360. Also, only 20 or so people would get the chance to look at the pictures in the halo section thread because the page would get passed pretty quickly.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh....I think Halo is looking great, but yet again those "Pics of Pics" look horrible. Im looking at a piss poor resolution screenshot of someone else's screenshot. It does not look good.

You just have something against Halo because those pics look stunning. As good as most games on the 360 and better then a lot of them. No way can you think those look horrible. Its just because you hate Halo for some reason.

Lol, people can't look at the pictures for what it's worth. These aren't pictures from bungie and they aren't a direct feed. Please take a picture of any 360 game you have with this angle and a ****** camera and I can tell you how bad your hdtv and the game it's showing looks.

I like seeing the outside shots, I'm hoping most of the battles in the campaign takes place outdoors. Maybe it is the sense of freedom.

If theres one thing I do take away from those pictures, its that I see quite a bit of structure/interesting things to look at in the background!

well I think the pictures are interesting. I wonder if the south african tone shown in these pictures is part of the reason why neil blomkamp was chosen to direct the movie. Shame that's not happening because the Arms Race Halo 3 commerical is awesome.

Just because I don't follow the crowd and worship Halo doesn't mean that my opinion isn't valid. It's one thing to blindly hate, and another to dislike and justify my feelings with reasoning. I've always explained why I dislike something. Calling me out like you did, simply because I disagree with you, is childish.

Objectively speaking, these pictures do not give an accurate description of the game's graphics. The pictures of slanted, off centered, and slightly fuzzy, which would easily cover up any jaggie or AA problems with the game. Many imperfections can be covered up.

KoRn said in another thread about Halo 3 that he hasn't played 1 or 2 and things won't change on Halo 3. Nuff said.

how is this supposed to be a good indication of how the graphics are coming along? and the others were so dark or washed out that i could barely see anything. i know that some people are starving for more halo 3 stuff, but this really isn't much to get excited for in all honesty.

THANK YOU. I couldn't agree more. It looks like Halo 2.5 - a very high rez version of Halo 2. When we get real screen shots (not those from bungie.net, which are like 3000 x 1200 resolution), then we can finally judge how good it truly looks.

NOOOOO you can't say Halo 2.5. thats the most fanboy thing you could ever say. just say that there arent any decent quality pics floating around to judge yet and just leave it at that. everytime you say Halo 2.5 it just pisses off the diehards more and more. the game will look better than halo 2 (too early to judge on how much better based on what we've seen) but it will look better

What is wrong here? The title should be "Only if you agree with me post". Just because I don't like what is presented in those shots everyone assumes that I'm out for blood. I played the hell out of the Halo 2 beta, and while I thought it was fun, it looked terrible (compared to other 360 games). As of yet, the screenshots released, while looking much better, do not look as good as other games currently on the market. I am holding final judgment until I play the final game, but so far I am unimpressed.

I think that some people need to stop drinking the Halo 3 Mountain Dew, eating the Halo 3 Doritos, and just be willing to accept that not everyone blindly worships everything Halo like you. Try not to be fanboys.

K, hypocrite. You said it yourself. To you, those pictures don't show you how the game looks. Their "fuzzy", "off-centered" and have "no resolution". Yet, you say you are unimpressed after seeing those pictures(according to you, you can't really tell if the game looks good or not) and from playing a multiplayer beta(which is a beta, not the real game).

I like halo but I'm not a fanboy. I want to play Mass Effect first, COD4, BioShock and then Halo 3 in that order. The majority of xbox owners got a 360 because halo was going to be on it. And I'm going to continue to post everything I can find on the game because a lot of people on these forums appreciate it.

Seriously Thrillhouse, we've done the whole graphics discussion based on the beta. Stop bringing it back up, its old news. Again, you are here trying to start a graphics debate based on absolultely no new info, therefore it appears you have an agenda. You even mention bungie's official screenshots, which everyone agree look terrific, and you downplay them with the resolution argument.

When Halo 3 comes out, and we all get a chance to see what it looks like for ourselves, people will be more than happy to listen to your opinions.

I absolutely love the "Halo 2.5" comments. Takes me back to the days of the PS fanboys spouting off about the "Xbox 1.5" Well guess what? THe "Xbox 1.5" has shown itself so far to completely OWN the competition in pretty much every aspect of gaming, including the PC crowd. How much do you have to spendon a PC to get the graphical match of Gears or Bioshock???? Halo 3 will no doubt have its fair share of internet haters, but I bet ya $100 the word on the street is that it owns your soul, and you basement LAN's.

If you are unimpressed how does it continue to get your attention to repeat the same thing so much. That is what is so confusing. I understand opinions. I understand you didn't like the previous 2 that much. But how does somthing you do not enjoy or have much interest at all draw so much for you to provide it attention too? I would expect a game like Bioshock to get this much attention for somthing you stated you clearly want to play. But Halo draws more of your attention then other threads. Are you in denial? Seriously! We want to know? :D

(Kind of like the Half-Life advanced graphics pack.) That is all. The pictures look like they were taken with a cell phone, and hardly any detail is visible. (Which, as I've stated, is not a final judgment on the product. The final verdict will be when I play the retail product.)

I never would have even posted in this thread, yet the OP (who doesn't even know me) felt the need to protect his creation by calling me out, saying that everyone who disagrees with him is a "hater", a "n00b". I never personally attacked anyone, and have always backed up my opinion with rational reasoning. My view doesn't have to agree with yours, and it clearly doesn't, but the least you all can do is show my some respect. I've been a good, respectful contributer to this forum. If your only point is that the pictures provided look bad, then say just that. You clearly were implying the game looked bad, not the pictures....which doesn't make a lot of sense unless you are trying to support your months log argument against Halo's graphics. I am not trying to attack you, because like you said its clear that you are well spoken and don't mean disrespect to anyone. Just be a little more clear with what you are saying or you will lose your credibility.

I called you out because obviously, like other posters in this forum, believe you have an agenda against halo-not just graphics. Also, where did I say "noob" or "hater?" It's in quotes in your post and I'm looking all over this thread and I can't find where I said those words. You're the "adult" thrillhouse, maybe you can enlighten me??? But I doubt it.
