I'll probably wait to see how this Profile 1.1 thing pans out. Though I wouldn't mind the PS3, but I don't have a HDMI-equipped receiver yet and I know I'd hate not hearing PCM in its surround glory. The Denon is my dream machine. :p

Sadly the other two "used but new" BDs they had, Eragon and The Holiday, were $27 each. Didn't seem like that much of a deal and I didn't really care for the films. The rest "used" were definitely used trade-ins.

i love going to fye, i have 3 in my area a coconuts, and a suncoast which are all owned by the same parent company and they have a mebership card that you get 10% off anything you buy, im trading in some dvds tomorrow to get some more blu-rays, on average i get at least $30-$60 when i trade after bonus credit :)

Wow that sux. I live in the Chicagoland area and have gone to 3 or 4 FYE and they are always running that special, and I've always gotten it. Never even had to ask about it. They seem to push it! You should complain!!!!

Well, in this case, both of the BDs pictured above were mysteriously labeled as used but are actually brand new factory sealed. I certainly would have opted for ordering these online new if these two weren't actually new.

Used might be a good way to go. I bet a lot of the "used" discs are those purchased by uninformed customers who thought their upscaling DVD player would play them. I bet most are in "like new" condition.

Are those part of the free movie deal? I'm guessing some people got their free movies and just traded them in.

I think I pre-ordered a 360 game a long time back and got it as one of the perks to doing so. Though I can't quite remember exactly how I got it now. The only reason I went there was because I found the coupon last week and surprisingly there was no expiration date on it.

And you're right, Urza. I get sticker shock at all the $35 and $40 prices on both BDs and HD DVDs there. Though I gotta say I've found early HD DVDs (like two weeks before street sometimes) there before and sometimes new HDM releases are on sale in their computer, but not marked so on the case, usually $5-7 off.

unless its used there rarely is a good deal there, lol. though they drop the price of new release movies for a few days, i bought are we done yet for 26.99 and tmnt for 26.99 on release date, disturbia was also 26.99, but i didnt have the cash to put out, and i went back and they raised it to 32.99
