I'm installing speakers in my family room. I'd like to set it up for 7.1. I can place the surrounds off to the side, but the rear speakers present some difficulty. There's an entrance to one side that limits the wall space to the rear such that it isn't really possible to place two speakers symmetrically to the rear. One could be directly behind and the second would be behind and to the left about 5 or 6 feet.

Could this still work after an Audyssey setup?

Should I just mount a single speaker in the rear and go with a 6.1 setup or should I try to find a way to mount the two rears in the ceiling? I'm not sure how I'd run the wires if I tried for the ceiling.
