It has been confirmed by Gamespot Korea that, Ninja Gaiden 2, the sequel to one of the most acclaimed titles on the original Xbox, will be publicly shown to the world for the first time at this years Tokyo Game Show.

This was confirmed by an insider in the Japanese gaming industry. According to the insider, the PS3 version of the game has not been confirmed at the moment, but the game will in fact be shown for the Xbox 360 system. He further states that, the game will be shown on the Xbox platform at TGS, because of the relationship with Microsoft and the developers.

However, there is a possibility that, the game will first be released for the Xbox 360 with a PS3 version following shortly. The industry insider also states that, this game is important to Microsoft because, it has potential to increase console sales in Japan.

Well, the deveoper's can't claim ingorance of PS3's architecture since they created Ninja Gaiden Sigma already. I've been playing Ninja Gaiden Black on my 360 for the first time during the past few weeks, and I got to say, that is one rocking game, it just takes practice, but pays off with big rewards. NGB looks so good it's amazing that's it a backwards-compatible title. Sigma does look tons better though.

Mmm... a sequal. This will be a blind buy/must have. Hopefully it will be as pretty as NG Sigma.

NG2 is 360 only -- he hasn't deigned to touch a PS3 yet; NGS was farmed out to new-hires so they could get their feet wet.
Since he fancies himself a gaming artiste any PS3 version likely won't be started until he's done with the 360 version. Best you can hope for is 12-18 months after 360 release and I'd be shocked if the 360 version gets in during 08.
