Does anyone know if ESPN is planning on producing their "ESPN Regional Games" that air on RSN's such as YES/MSG/NESN/Altitude? Also, I have ordered their College Football Gameplan package, are they planning on doing that in HD for some games?

Thanks for the info.

ESPN Regional Television will still be producing games for syndication. However, they will no longer will have any Big Ten games as those will now be on Big Ten Network.

*BUMP*

I too am wondering about Gameplan games in HD...I cancelled my subscription to it after 7 years since they provide no Hd content...I'd be back in a second if those games went HD...gamblers paradise!

I am working Big East syndication again, no HD on those games.

I dumped it because of the SD PQ it was just totally unwatchable to my eyes anyways

I'm dumping it because with no Big Ten games and the mirror regional coverage that ABC/ESPN is going to offer for their regional broadcast windows, it has little value to me (particularly since I get ACC and Big East regional coverage locally on broadcast affiliates and MASN).

This is one of the reasons I'm excited about the Big Ten Network. quality coverage of all the games from the Big Ten. Espn Regional was just trash SD.

I may be jumping the D* for the BTN

I agree there are so many games on these days I really don't need the package any longer but the PQ was really behind it for me.

I'm really amazed they haven't reduced the price for the package this year, with considerably less value and no HD. Living in SEC and ACC coverage territory, it looks like all I'd get out of it is some MAC and Big East coverage, and so far for next weekend I'm only seeing 3 games available through it that I can't get anyway... totally not worth it!

You would think they would have reduced the price considering it is one of those packages that has seen its better days. I loved it when I first got way back when but now it is pretty much worthless in my mind anyways.

Glad to see (under the circumstances) that I am not alone in my thinking...the value of this package is next to nothing...and god forbid you should try to get someone in customer service to answer the simple question "Will any Gameplan games be in HD?"...thats like asking them to recite the Gettysburgh Address...

Agreed. Particularly for Big Ten fans. I called D*** yesterday to cancel the auto renewal.

I subscribe to Gameplan and probably always will. I like to know that at any given weekend I have access to any college football game on television. As an Alabama fan there are usually 2 games of ours offered via ppv for 29.95. Since I have "moved" to NYC by ordering Gameplan I can watch these games on Gameplan. Also, I'm interested in such teams as Troy, UAB and Hawaii. WAC games featuring Hawaii are rarely on ESPN or ABC and thus I can catch at least 7 of those games via Gameplan.

Questions answered?

What sucks is if Alabama is on Gameplan and you live in Alabama, you can't get the game.

The 2007 GP schedule is finally up on the D* site. Absolutely nothing of interest. Give me a reason to keep it...

There isn't a reason it has out lived it's usefulness

There is so much misinformation out there on the Big Ten Network. I'm really surpirsed that the media hasn't picked up on the fact that these games will be in HD versus paying for SD. Seems like a major selling point to me.

FYI, the mirror regional coverage only applies to ABC afternoon regional games. I found the statement below on the BTN's website:

Beginning in 2007, the only time a Big Ten ABC game might end up on GamePlan is in the rare instance that ABC is regionalizing a prime-time Big Ten game.

Well, I for one like the ESPN Gameplan Package. Living in North Carolina (which is the football vacuum of the south), I cant get any SEC games (which is real football). Instead i get stuck watching Duke get destroyed by Clemson (Farmers)! So Gameplan is a must for me. Example, two years ago we didnt get the Oklahoma v Texas game here instead i got Boston College and an ACC whipping post instead. What crap. At least i get to see Bama, Carolina (the Gamecocks), Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU, and Auburn each week on the Lincoln Financial broadcast at 12:30 EST. The whole package is worth it for those games, the Pac-10 games, and the Big-12 games that i get screwed out of. Plus two years ago they didnt show the Michigan-Ohio St game here because of some ACC crap. I dont ever want that to happen again. So until all these games are available each week on regular tv, i am a gameplan sub for life!
