Hey All

I just recently purchased a Hitachi P42H4011 plasma tv and am having some troubles getting my xbox 360 to play over my surround sound system. I have a Sony HCD DX255 Home Theatre system and i can get the tv to play over it but im unable to get the 360 over it.

I had it all working before with an old Rear projection big screen that a friend of mine owned. I have the Surround sound unit hooked up to Input 1 and the 360 hooked up to input 2.

Is there anyway at all to get this working?

What is a "surround sound unit" ?

For the receiver to play surround sound with Xbox 360, you have to get optical out of the Xbox (you get that from the component cable adapter), and plug that into an optical in on your receiver. If you don't have an available optical in, you're screwed, unless you have a coaxial in available, and want to buy a converter.
