I thought I'd start here before taking drastic measures. As the title of the thread states I can't complete a game of Madden 08 online without getting disconnected.

Facts about my set up. I have a 6 meg download speed and can't remember exactly but I think 1.5 up.

I am using a 2wire wireless modem from AT&T and have that wireless device from Microsoft. The router is in the next room and on the same level. The network is secured and I really have never had problems playing Gears of War and such.

My question is, have others had disconnect problems in Madden? I had them last year in 07 which caused me not to play.

Any setting recommendations that people can offer? I would really like to stay wireless if at all possible.

I too have had zero problems.
However I have a friend that sometimes drops games because his broadband speed drops for some reason or another even though he never loses connection with live.

Occasional drops from cable lag or server issues, but normally play just fine. 8 mg down, 786 up. Sometimes two 360's online at the same time. No problems normally.

For future replies can you tell me if your XBOX is wirelessly connected to your router or wired.

Wired. But have wireless too.

Wired over a Linksys wireless router to a Linksys cable modem. I've played two online games with zero issues.

I know of very few people who had a good experience with wireless and XBL. Nothing but headaches. Wired is the way to go.

I have had ZERO problems with Madden 08 on Live. Everything is smooth without a single dropped game.

Using wired.

I have a DLink WBR2310, 1 wireless laptop, 1 Wireless desktop, 1 wired desktop and a PS3... The wireless PS3 online action is delayed and sometimes I get bumped off when other users start hogging up bandwidth and MySpace and P2P applications. I am leaning on switching up to D-Link DIR-655 with the hopes that I get get my gaming priority.
