View Full Version : Wireless controller differences?

I'm looking to buy a couple more controllers and in reading the description of the newer Black controllers I see this:

* Adjustable vibration feedback for longer battery life
* New left and right shoulder buttons are designed for ease of use

Is this different than the standard White controller that came with my Xbox?

How are the Left/Right shoulder buttons different if they are?

Is the Vibration feedback adjustment an addition that the White controllers don't have (or am I just missing that in the dashboard or something)?

Thanks.

These sound like new features to me. I sure haven't seen any vibration adjustment available in the 360 settings or my white wireless controllers. It's probably just a little switch on the controller with three settings. As for the shoulder buttons, I can't comment on that as I don't have any of the black controllers.

you can adjust the vibration settings under your gamer tag somewhere..... I think I remember seeing this somewhere. This is for any stick really

Hmmm...I have the white wireless that came w/ the system and also a black one I bought not too long ago. I haven't noticed any difference between the two as far as shoulder button placement goes or anything else.

sounds like 360 controllers vs xbox controllers.

new l/r shoulder buttons (as opposed to the black/white buttons) designed for ease of use (got that right)

formulanerd,

Maybe that's what the description is based on - guess I was hoping the black controller added some slight improvements (not that the white controller is bad by any means).

yea, controllers should be the same (white/black) because IMO it's the best designed controller to this day, i dont think they have any plans to improve anything, unless it would be the D-pad.
