is that the un"Sony"ed version from Hong Kong or the one that sony butchered like they did Shaolin Soccer?

I never saw the US version for fear of getting real po'd as I own the original Hong Kong version.

The #1 killer v. the Kung fu guys is awesome and sets up all the scenes after that.

The beast V. the two masters towards the end and all the blood there, Chow getting his face plastered into the floor lots of times with all the blood.

A MUST!!!

Best Buy has KFH and BHD for 13.99 instore and online as well. Cant' remember what other titles they have on the cheap, but it beats Amazon's prices!

*Edit* House of Flying Daggers is 13.99 and Underworld Evolution is 17.99. These are the only 4 titles I could find on sale. Hope it helps out someone!
By the way, are any of these worth the pickup? I was going to Underworld for free with my Mail-in. Wasn't sure about a blind buy on KFH. Already have BHD.

yep, most are the earlier releases that came out during BD's infancy, when quality was closer to the original 5th element than the remaster.

Ok, that sounds easy enough. I just tried that though and it didn't work. My 10% discount showed up but no discount for the 4th title. I read through the fine print of the promotion and found this:

Add at least 4 eligible items to your Shopping Cart. Eligible items will have a message such as "This item is eligible for our Buy 4 Books for the Price of 3 Sale" on the product detail page.

I don't see this on the product detail page of any Blu-ray discs. If you've gotten the discount to work I would appreciate some help. I'm about to go on a major shopping spree if this works. BTW, do you know if it works on pre-orders also?

Played around with this. It appears that the promotional discount appears only on items that are "In stock". Did not work for those that said "Usually ships 1-2 weeks."

The sites in my sig are mostly manually updated.

There is a second page there (http://www.blu-raystats.com/amazonstats.php) that keeps track of the Amazon database (I think that is the one that you bookmarked in the first post) and that in turn keeps the bargains and pre-orders page (http://www.blu-raystats.com/amazon.php up to date (which you also bookmarked in the first post I think).

I don't have those pages in my sig here since you are not allowed to have marketing in your sig and I imagine that some might consider those pages to be marketing.

In any case, my Amazon database automatically syncs with the Amazon database every hour. Helps me keep track of what is on sale :)

I am open to suggestions also to make these pages more useful in general...

While not a bargain per se, I noticed today that Amazon is showing a bunch of the Paramount titles in stock again (So I ordered a few since I fully expected that they had run out for good :) ).

Unfortunately I don't have a studio filter on the Amazon page, so it is hard to narrow it down - but this should include most if not all of them. Most of the titles at basement prices posted here (and even cheaper on Fry's in some cases) are making me wonder why?? BHD, HOFD, Patriot, Donnie Brasco, 5th Element, KFH etc... All Sony Titles. I'm wondering if there are Special Editions or new cuts coming out soon or if Sony is just really trying to push some software out there. Just odd that they are all Sony titles. Since I'm cheap and always select the free shipping option, I've no complaint about having to wait five to seven mail days to receive ordered titles -- that seems fair enough to me :)! I'm definitely going to miss the 10% off when it expires -- at the moment it feels like a countdown :(! It's not really a lot of money I suppose, but everything makes a difference.

I've never before been aware of their having a 3 for 2 sale like they recently did, has that happened before? For me, buying HD titles is heavily about finding good prices, and so sales like that (and Warner's 25% off discount), make a big difference!

Just ordered four BD from Wherehouse on their sale (plus two more from Amazon) and that covers the couple Fox titles I specifically wanted. Hopefully, there won't be any more sales for a while, or at least not GOOD ones -- I need a break :)!

I think I got everything I really cared about while the window was open. There were a couple I was debating, but the price increase is an effective way to end the debate :)!

That FYE rebate and coupon sale is pretty good, though it takes time to get the rebate cash back in your pocket!

Do they have this sale often? I mean the ps3 with 7 movies. I got a samsung 1400 but after all the threads I read on it I took it back and I am going to swallow my hate and buy a ps3 for movies. I'd rather have the 500 version cause I do have a few ps2 games and then I could sell my ps2 and pretty much pay 400 for it anyways. I just want to see if I can get some free movies in the process from amazon.

I've been trying to decide how to use it, but there are just too few titles. I could buy "Lookout" and see what it's really like, but I would have to get another to make it pay, and that would have to be for resale only. It's tough :(!

The drop is $4, effectively going from 30% discount (which is typical at Amazon) to 40%.

Amazon is not indicating a drop in retail price, so this may be a 'limited time' deal...?

Quick question does amazon have any policy on refunding you the difference if a item you bought recently goes down in price? I know best buy does just wondering if amazon does because I ordered like 5 of those fox titles previously.

Do you have to re-order the title if it went down in price to get the lower price ('Simpsons Movie' for example)? I thought Amazon automatically gave you the lower price if it went down after ordering it.

You shouldn't have to, but if this is a limited offer it wouldn't hurt to re-order just in case. You can always cancel one of the pre-orders later. I'm doing that with the 'Die Hard' box because I bought one last week on a "Gold Box Personal Deal" offer and I'm waiting to see whether they will price guarantee that order or not -- if they don't, I'll just cancel that one and keep the new order.
