I just wanted to remind everyone that we will finally get an hddvd, trued hd sound copy of beavis and butthead do america. Hopefully, we will get the six dvds remastered and the mike judge collections done too. I just hope they don't get stingy on the compression and not use the full capacity of the disk to give us full resolution audio.

Napoleon Dynamite's AR is 1.85:1... unless the HBO version is 4:3?

Would you really notice a big difference with a Beavis and Butthead type of movie or South Park in High Def? I honestly don't think it will be that huge. Am I way off base here?

Am I way off base here?Actually, I thought the same thing about "crappy" animation. I mean, how much better can it look? But I saw the free HD episode of South Park on the Xbox 360 and while it was only 720p interestingly enough it looked a lot better. I think most of the improvement comes from the increased color pallette of HD.

With the event of Nirvana Unplugged on SDDVD being release some time in the up coming week.. I was wondering are we going to see this on HD ?

I've been waiting for this amazing concert on SD Dvd for the pass 13 years, but I am not buying it if there is a HD version coming in the next 6 months.

It was taped in SD. So the chances of seeing this on any HD format seems unlikely. Although 28 days later was released on BR and did get a nice bump in audio quality over it's DVD counterpart - so there might be a SLIM chance. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

It was shot on the prosumer Canon XL1 480i camcorder and was severely degraded in post production. The XL1 can capture MUCH better images than was displayed. It was degraded for artistic intent. There are much better prosumer SD camcorder out there now like the Panasonic DVX100B, which shoots 24p and has cinema gamma curves for a better movie/film look.

I'd love to see The Ali G Show in HD. The DVDs look like crap compared to what HD will do! (I know Borat is supposed to look like crap)
