Transformers, sure I would love to have it on BR but its just a visual show piece, thats all. Movies was more than 30 minutes longer than it had to be, cast was OK. Action was good. Dont get me wrong, I loved the original and I am a movie freak like the rest of you but too often we get our balls in a twist over these releases. Why? because we conveniently forget how crappy a movie was if the PQ is awesome. Admit it, you have rented or bought some titles you may have previously said you would never see again, only to do so because the PQ and sound was making you lust. Hell how many people talked about the grain in 300 that saw it in the movie theater and were upset and shocked to see it in the BR.... HELLO

I am sure I will get flamed, and quite frankly I don't care. The war sucks but it isn't going anywhere. So either you draw a side, stay neutral or dont watch HD at all. The studios, like a lot of other companies are gonna continue to screw us because they knew people like us will buy it one way or the other. Its what made this country what it is today. Capitalism.

Cool for you, that is what makes choice great. I would buy it on BR from a visual perspective, not a movie I could watch over and over again. YMMV,

I don't get what the facination was with this movie. I thought it was horrid. Everything was zoomed in way too far for the action sequences. I didn't have a clue who was who half the time.

And Sector 7!?? I mean come on. What doper thought that name up?

I wasn't gonna buy it on either format, and I'm still not getting it on HD.

Amen, I expressed my displeasure for this garbage in the previous transformers thread. On the other hand, what are some actual good movies from paramount? LOTR isn't paramount right? Personally I can careless about buying alot of movies these days. I buy the ones I like and the ones I can watch over and over. Transformers is no loss to me, but what are some other ones.. Was the matrix a paramount release?

LOTR is New Line, and The Matrix is WB.

yeah..no biggie about this movie. Who cares. I'll take LOTR or Star Wars over this movie anyday. Watch..they'll sell about 100,000 copies only hahahahah... and they still can't beat 300 movies in # of sales.

Ya, I was looking through the list and there are definetly some movies that I will miss but I am not going to cry about it. This is business and that's how the game is played. Toshiba/MS realized if they didn't lock down an exclusive studio it was lights out for them.

On that note, there are plenty of movies from all the other studios to keep me happy for now, assuming they get their s**t together and release more movies everything should be fine. I'm really looking forward to Cars, should look great!

I am now more on the Blu-Ray side than on the HD-DVD side but I still own both so I guess it could be worse. Blu-Ray should be allowed to win though imho. It has the same PQ now and better media (for space and for build quality too, not to mention the PS3 being a stable player unlike Toshiba's HD-DVD players).

Saw Transformers 6 times and will see it sept 21th for a 7th. I am a hardcore TF fan though so yeah, i knew who was who during the movie :p
