Thankfully and interestingly the exclusive Paramount deal with HD DVD does not include the Stephen Spielberg directed movies.

Today's announcement does not include films directed by Steven Spielberg as his films are not exclusive to either format.

At least both BD and HD DVD adopters can enjoy his films.

Although I'm a HD DVD person, I'm happy as long as both sides get the same releases.

I don't think that both will enjoy his films. It is clear that he prefers BD because he has no problem that Close Encounters of the Third Kind will be exclusive on BD, yet his movies with Paramount can't be exclusive and he refuses to let Universal release his movies too. HD DVD owners will never see his movies unless the format wins it all.

It was mentioned on... you guessed it, Blu-Ray.com

Other articles have mentioned that he would like to see his movies on both formats.

Is this a BD driven thread to "soften" the blow from losing Paramount and Dreamworks?

If it is it is both lame and bush

Heh, I only know that because it was posted here on AVS. Trust me, I've only been on BR.com once or twice since this war started.:)
