Well, it was bound to happen. A crop of excuses are being used to downplay the Paramount news.

Two of the biggest seem to be the following

1.Its only for 18 months, and Paramount still has certain rights to print blu ray stuff

This seems to be coming off an email Beatboy sent to an INSIDER. The BD only crowd is latching on to this big time. Funny how much FUD beatboy is able to spread.

2.Michael Bay is Angry


Mr Bay wrote in his blog the decision by Paramount upset him, and he wont do Trasformers 2. This one appears to be true.


Please post others you have heard, so we can keep an eye on any FUD.

The answer to Spielberg films? Don't release them, even if it won't be until after the holiday season of '08. Paramount and Dreamworks has an extensive library and there are more directors out there who aren't Spielberg.

Appears to be a half truth. He is angry with Paramount I beleive he can only take what he has directed, Paramount still has rights to the rest of the movies. If anyone has more info, or can correct me, it is welcome.

Fox and disney's new releases: Die hard trilogy, finding nemo among others. If I could afford it, I'd buy a PS3 just for die hard.
The 2-1 sales ratio blu-ray has to hd dvd.
