I am assuming it will street on HD DVD the same day as DVD. What about Shrek 1 & 2? How much do you wanna bet they come out the same day also?

I would like to see 1 & 2 a couple weeks earlier so I can watch them first. Haven't seen any of these movies and can't wait to see them in HD.

I'll buy the "third", was not bad, but much prefer to own the first, then the sequel....hope they don't wait too long on releasing those - this big move will not be effective if they (both Paramount and DW) don't bring their 'A' game to the table. I guess they know what people want, so I doubt they'd "hold out" on us, Warner sure hasn't, sure they will follow suit..but still, don't give us 18 months of "eh" titles - wonder if the powers that be at HD DVD didn't make that clear in the agreem$t. ;-)

Has Shrek 1/2 been OFFICALLY anounced? Do they already have the titles set to go?

Shrek ½? Is that a prequel? ;)

I'm sure nobody will agree with me on this....but I'd like to see the Shrek movies as combos. Because if not I'd end up having to buy the SD version as well. When you have a 4 year old you have to be flexible as to where they can watch certain movies--portable DVD player, playroom TV, etc. Kids movies are the only ones where I see value in the combos, though.

I'd like to see this as a box set. We gave our SD DVDs to my wife's sister for her kids. I figured we'd rebuy them later on DVD - but now I'm waiting for the HD versions of course!

Will Dreamworks even think of releasing Shrek 3D on HD? I imagine you have to be format neutral to withstand wearing red and blu-tinted 3D glasses. ;)

Universal studio's florida (dunno about the other ones) has a ride for Shrek.

I don't know if you've ever been to that theme park but they used to have a thearter where they had a video on Hitchcock (sp?) they had a portion of the birds in 3d and a bunch of video stuff on it. Well they removed it about 3 or 4 years ago and put in shrek . Its a 3d movie where the chairs move and you get squirted with water , hot air , cool air and all to do what they call 4d . It takes place on their honeymoon , The villian from part 1 comes back as a ghost and kidnaps fiona on the way to the honey moon and donkey , shrk and dragon have to save her . Its actually alot of fun .

Has there been any news on Shrek 1 and 2? (or did I miss it somewhere?)

A 3-movie Shrek box set just in time for the holiday season would be an absolute killer exclusive. I'll bet this would push a few players out the door!

I could care less about Shrek 3. I just saw it last week at the budget theater with my daughter. I thought it was the worst Shrek to date. It's also pretty bad when your three your old says "Daddy, I don't want to watch this movie again". LOL!

Now, gimme 1 & 2 on combo discs and I'm golden. :)

I say release Shrek two weeks before 'Shrek the 3rd' - Shrek 2 one week before 'the 3rd' and of course, Shrek 3 day and date with the DVD.

Let's get some mileage out of it. Three weeks of Shrek!

Shrek ½? Is that a prequel? ;)

i believe that is actually correct

i'll dig around, but i swear that was just announced maybe 2 weeks ago

edit:

http://www.slashfilm.com/2007/05/30/shrek-4-and-shrek-5-announced/
this is announcing a 4th and a 5th installment, but let me see where specifically it states the next Shrek will be a prequel

edit #2:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/1648827/
this one more or less confirms the 4th installment as a prequel

k bye!

Yeah, a lot of them. They are about $2 more than amazon, and they charge shipping. Their prices now don't seem to require a regular club purchase either. For instance, casino is about $21. You get funcash though, which can get you free movies as it accumulates. They have the matrix trilogy for $71.
