I have an Onkyo receiver that I just added speakers to for a second zone. I have had my setup for years and since moving lost the original remotes. I have a Harmony 659 and it has done exactly what I have asked of it until now. Onkyo says I have to have my original remote to adjust the volume. Period. Harmony says they can help me add buttons if they had the hex codes.

I read some forum post (I think on Harmony's forums) where they said to create another receiver device and use the model number with Zone 2 tagged at the end, but that didn't seem to help.

Any thoughts from anyone? Does anyone know the hex codes for the volume for the zone 2?

There was a discussion on this awhile back:

See if that helps.

Thanks, I have read that thread before. I still don't have this working. I don't have the original remote, so I can do the learning thing. I tried to create a zone 2 device, but that hasn't worked for me. If I knew the hex codes then I would be set, but Onkyo wouldn't share.

Well, I finally tore through lots of boxes and found the original remote. I wish I knew how to get the codes off my Harmony remote to share in the unlikely event someone else needs this.
