I'm using an older 20 inch Insignia and before that I had a 20 inch Toshiba. Both are standard definition televisions. Last night I was watching the Dawn of the Dead remake, and I noticed during the credits that the vocals were messed up. They sounded tiny and in the background almost barely audible. I've heard similar things before on my older set in dialogue sequences where you don't even hear a character say anything but he is clearly speaking. I'm using Comcast digital cable. Is this a speaker problem or some sort of issue with the cable. Sound seems normal coming out from both speakers. I don't want to replace my TV if it's some comcast thing. Any help would be appreciated.
If it happened on two different TV's when viewing the same movie, I'd doubt it's a speaker problem or cable. :)
Maybe you're just imagining Zombie voices coming to get you when you turn off the lights.

Sounds like something is out of phase.
Are the audio connectors all plugged in properly (not, "part way" in)? Has someone been working on your set, and maybe reconnected one speaker backwards.
If it's happened on two different sets, but the same Cable box, it's likely to be the box, or a Cable company encoding problem.

it could be just the movie. if it's at the headend of the cable co, it'd happen more often. Such as commercials are louder and more distorted than the actual programming. Some things can be adjusted, but it could also be from the source itself.
is that the only time u've heard it? any other movies, shows, channels?
