Hi everyone
I don't know if I am in the right forum but, here goes.
I have the opportunity to pick up one of these for cheap. All I know is it is a light valve projector and it works. It was used in an art gallery but, I don't know anything about these except that they are really big monsters and they are very heavy. I am hoping that someone has some experience with these. What should I be looking at first? What are the known problems?
I know it is a 1500W metal halide bulb good for 1000 hours. Are they hard to find and how expensive are they? Finally, I have a Barco 800 and a few Ecp's. Is the image any better than these for home theatre? Thank's
Don

Unless you have a huge room or going to use this at a church or something like that it is not worth it. I have worked with this projector. It was good back in the day. Lamps are not cheap. If you are set on getting it, don't pay over $300.00 for it. Any more then that you can go to Comp USA and buy an 800x600 projector that will out preform it in every way for under $1000.00.
