There is only one logical reason:

The development team felt so bad about the quality of their work on the first one that they did the second for FREE.

(I have a theory about the lead developer spending all of his time trashing the Xbox 360 in forums instead of overseeing development but thats another thread entirely) :)

funny how so many hate the first one. I thought it was ok for that type of game, and it's my fathers favorite game on the 360.

I liked it too, online and off. What we really need is a Microsoft Combat Flight Sim for the 360. :)

Is there a cockpit view this time around?

I'm more interested in a crimson skies 2, but it is a fun game for a while. I don't see it in the 360 dl. Is it a pc demo?

Yes, there is a cockpit view. I really enjoyed the demo, played through a couple of times.

Demo wasn't bad, I'll have to rent this down the line.
