Hey guys, i bought a Pioneer Receiver model VSX-917V 770 Watt. I bought it mainly for music. I hooked a pair of Klipsch Synergy Series B-3 speakers to it with a 12" Dayton sub w/o a problem. I bought a pair of outdoor speakers and hooked them up also w/o a problem. Is there a way to have just the outdoor speakers on at once w/o the indoor set on, i can have indoor w/o outdoor but not the other way around, any suggestions would be helpful....Thank You

I have a VSX-816, which is a model from last year (I think the 917 is new). According to my manual, you can hit the speaker button on the front of receiver. Mine gives three options, SpA, SpB, or SpAB. In order to just get the outdoor, you'd want SpB. I'd check the owner's manual to see if it mentions it. Mine describes it in the Other Connections section on page 54--I don't know if it'll be the same in your manual, but it should give you an idea of where to look. Hope that helps!
