This man is not kidding when he says he is CHEAP. He inquired about a PJ I had for sale. I offered him a Like NEW NEC PG with PERFECT/ SNOW WHITE tubes with less than 300 original hours, including the full function remote, the user remote, the mount and all hardware. Not a single scratch on this thing. It threw a beautiful picture I had it listed for $1000 and I told him I would take $650. In addition I offered a Stewart Electric masking screen in excellent condition, the equivalent selling for $10,000 from a Stewart dealer. Since I did not have room for it and did not want to crate/pack and ship such a monster and since money is not my motivating factor... I offered it to him for the grand total of ZERO.. That's right, If he could pick it up along with the projector, I would give it to him for FREE. He had nothing to lose, He could pay me in person. I told him, He could see it set up before he paid. The guy is not only cheap but stupid as well.

Let's recap. A like new NEC PG with 276 original hours with perfect tubes, includes two remotes, the user and full function, a mount and all hardware. We added a perfectly working 100' Electric masking STEWART screen that sells for $10,000 on Stewart's Website as we speak All for the grand total of $650.

His response?..........Too much! He later complained over at "another" site that I was silly for asking "so much".. I responded by telling him to buy from a reseller and spend $1800 for the same thing, with many more hours, not nearly as clean, without the mount and without the 100" electric masking screen.

Stay far away from this character!

BTW, I have to take some of the blame, I was just as stupid for offering a screen that I eventually sold for $1900, for free. The NEC also eventually sold for $800 so I guess I owe Big Ben a Big THANK YOU!

The DWIN HD700 I have now with just barley 1000 hours now was suposidly his as well. He sold it to Gary and I bought it. Gary sold it because Steve said Gary couldnt figure out how to make it look as good as his and he got pissed off with it :) I know thats not really why Gary sold it I just thought that was funny. I paid a bit more then the normal selling of these but it did have the color filtered lenses so its a bit more then a bone stock HD700. Ive done the internal Video cable mod with real 75ohm video cable and the image is outstanding! Im sorry to hear Ben is without a projector now. No, I wont sell the DWIN back LOL....Until it drops dead that is.

Yeah, I've had mixed dealings with Ben too.

He still owes me some parts from 2 years ago - we did a swap. I sent my parts via airfreight within days.

Ben only sent some of his (and the lenses were all scratched and basically useless) and then promised to send the rest...and promised...and promised...for about a year and a half.

I don't care now, I long since bought replacements, I don't want them.

Just my experience, the only mixed experience I've had buying CRT bits from all sorts of people.

Ben Why are you trying to confuse the issue? OldTimer said he would sell you a PG with under 300 hours AND a Stewart Screen for $650? Not sell you a single PG for $1000 . Why do you pretend you don't understand?

BTW, Where are the parts you owe Mark for TWO YEARS? Even the parts you did send are garbage. Do you plan on responding to him or do you hope this thread will just go away before more people read it?;)

Come on man. I never took any offer off the table. Why are you being dishonest? If you didn't want the stuff, that's fine. That's your prerogative but when you go and post **** about someone you don't even know, well then you deserve the same and this little exercise has taught us that you are not as squeaky clean as your holier then thou, critical, posting whatever you like about other people, attitude would suggest.

and I really found the PeterPanski posts to be funny...I love that stuff. But really...I'm not here to argue with people.I occasionally find one of his posts funny too. The problem is a little goes a long way. He jumps in a thread with a LOT of posts and completely destroys it.

I have two PG units I would like to move. I'm not giving them away but the price would be reasonable. When I get ready to sell I will open a listing and do it the correct way. I believe shipping to Canada would kind of kill the deal though.

I'd prefer to not go the PG route...but it's possible.
