hi,
i just moved into a new house and its is definitely not conducive to a home theater experience. i have a samsung HP-T5064; a 50 inch plasma.
basically the tv has to be mounted above the fireplace and the seating area is 90 degrees from the front of the tv. i'm goint to need an articulating mount, but can't find a solution for mounting the center channel and left/ right satellites.

i cannot simply wall mount them.

to enjoy a movie, i'd have to swing the tv around, so the speakers are going to have to follow.
i've seen the chief articulating mount with side arm and center channel accessories, but they seem awkward and large.

i'm going to be getting the onkyo 605 as my avr.

for speakers, i wanted the hkts 18, because they were small and in my budget ($400), but it only has bottom mounts and probably wouldn't work with side arm adapter.

There's gotta be an easier way.
please help.

any suggestions on mounts, how to mount. where to get the right mount, and best speakers for my purposes would be hugely appreciated...
or if there's a way i haven't even imagined, i'd like your input....

thanks in advance...

Timmy

Just for a starting place Artison makes LCR speakers that mount directly to your plasma. Might be more than you are looking to spend but it will give you a starting point to do some research on speakers.

You should check out the AVS Plasma flat panel forum for some Ideas. There is a thread in there that shows pictures of speaker set ups etc.....maybe post your question there...IMO

Hey Timmy, I found a cool solution for mounting speakers to the TV, I didn't buy it, as I ended up wall mounting, but this thing is really perfect for your situation http://www.chiefmfg.com/store/detail/?product_id=83684

Also, I've been waring others that are going to wall mount a TV, NOT to run the TV powercord or an extension cord in the wall, it's against electrical code and could be a dangerous thing to do. Especially since you have a new baby as you said. Check out a power solution I found that will also allow you to have your new expensive TV plugged into a surge protector. http://www.powerbridgesolution.com/aboutpowerbridge.html

Good luck, let us know how it all turns out.
