I HATE this Klipsch KSW-12 I have, its muddy and just sounds awful..I've set it up properly but the sound flat out sucks, its not tight or clean and all it does is sound muddy and booming....

Can anyone recommend a decent sub for under 500,preferable under 400?My room is 16X18 if that helps...

A Hsu STF-2 or SVS PB10 would be up your alley it sounds like.

Another vote for the STF-2 or PB10. You'll be hard pressed to do any better at the $400 (give or take a few bucks) price point.

All good suggestions so far. I would also suggest the Elemental Designs subwoofers, they seem to have a slightly higher performance/dollar ratio.

Breaks down like this:

eD A2 300 $350 delivered

eD A3 300 $450 delivered

HSU STF-2 $379 delivered

SVS PB-10NSD $474 delivered
