Hey all - I just downloaded the latest editor software for my MX-950 remote, but it is erroring out before it even starts (something about how it couldn't find an entry point into a DLL file). Anyway, I'm just curious if anybody out there has an older version that is functioning properly so that I can get my remote updated, or can otherwise give me some recommendations.

Thanks!!

Sorry, I should have noted that I uninstalled, reinstalled, and rebooted my computer to no avail. Nothing has worked, and I lost my original disc that came with the remote. The error is "Entry Point Not Found", "The procedure entery point ?Copy ToJPEG@CPictureEx@@QAEHPBDAAVCBitmap@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library OHPIC8.dll"

What OS are you using? If it's Vista, the MC-950 software will not work.

No, I'm using XP. It was working fine until I tried to install the latest version from Universal's web site. That's when it stopped working. I would simply go back, but I lost my original installation disc. I also haven't received a reply yet from contacting Universal about the problem.

Are you trying with complete control suite or just the 950 editor alone? We have had better luck with bugs in the software by installing individual editors instead of the ccs

Vista has a fix already. Call URC tech support if you need it.

The Vista fix only works with the MX-3000, not the 950.

I would go back to the URC website and redownload the software. The first download may have been corrupted.

What service pack level of XP are you at? You should be at SP2. There may be an updated OHPCI8.dll in that SP that the new software is looking for. Don't know for certain, just an idea.

No issues w/ XP.
Call URC, the Vista update is fairly recent.

I did redownload the software as well, and reinstalled it (after uninstalling the other, bad version), and then rebooted my computer after the new install with the new download (which still said the same version number), and it is still not working. I guess I should give them a call.

I need to get codes for a PS3 for my 950. I notice in the ir section of the software there is presets for the ps2.

Can anyone help?

PS3 is blue tooth, unless you bought the ir dongle, so you are SOL wrt to the 950.

Can someone provide a link for the URC-950 fix for Vista? I have a 950 that I bought from Tweeter (authorized, out of business) and have no recourse for software..

I second that. Can a kind soul please provide the fix for the use of the editor in Vista? Thanks

As I stated above, there is no fix for Vista for the MX-950. I am a beta tester for URC and even the beta software doesn't work with Vista, much less any released software.
