I bought a HTIB system. I hooked it up and ran wires to the back speakers. The only problem is I ran the wires under the carpet towards the back of the room but they have to pass through a doorway to get to the other wall. Now there are wires on the floor between the doorway when you walk thru. What is the best way to get rid of the wires? I was going to cut the carpert and put them under the carpet. I have 14 Gage wire so it is kinda of thick. Do you guy's know what I can do if I cut the carpet to get the carpet back in place so you wan't trip over it. The wife was not happy about it :) I am not a handyman by the way, me and tools don't get along. So what do you suggest I do or what have you done that I have not thought about?

A rug placed under/in the doorway can work.

You can also cut a small slice at one side of the door, and then tape the wire to a rod and feed it under the carpet. Then go to the other side and cut an exit hole for the wire, and thread it through. If you can get enough slack at the doorframe you can skip the cut all together.

I forgot to add, the correct way to do it would be to remove the baseboards, and part of the door frame as necessary. Then feed the wire under the walkway. Replace the trim and touch up the paint. ;):D
