Hey guys, wonder if any of you remember me, havent been on here in a long time.

My current situation is one CRT projector, and old faithful Z2 (well as far as projectors go at least) and althought I really really like the picture quality of the CRT, I just cant have it in this room.

I have heard that really, if you like CRT the only digitals that come close are the LCOS models, and the pearl seems nice to me since some great deals can be had. However, sony is now coming out with the new black pearl with even better contrast, should I wait for it or should I get the original pearl when the price goes down due to the new one or what?

Problem is, I am young and in college as well as obsessed with picture quality, so you see my dilema. I want to stretch my dollar with this projector as far as I can.

Does the new Black Pearl come with a curse? :-)


I also have a CRT right now, but I am very happy with my 808, but always open to something new.

And to think some have gone to World's end looking for the Black Pearl when they could have stopped off at the nearest Sony store to pick one up.

Seriously though, I'm interested in this one, too. We'll have to wait for some reviews after it hits the market. It may actually be worth holding off a couple of months before upgrading.
