LG 50PC5D and the remote has mode selections, including DVD and cable. LG tech support was a waste of airtime so I've come here hoping someone can tell me if I can program my LG remote to change channels via my iO cable box.

Also if it control my Denon DVD player.

I've searched old threads and it seems the best option is to get a uni but I don't want to buy another g-d remote! :eek:

did you try the owners manual? I'll caution you though... even if you get it to work it won't be as nice and easy as a band-spanking new universal remote like the ones discussed on this forum

Yes and it basically says, "Your remote controls the TV. Point it and hit buttons." :rolleyes:

Are you looking at the full manual or just a quick start guide? Is there and expanded manual available from LG? There must be some way to program other devices to that remote like a code table list for various equipment.

You didn't mention what cable box you have. Denon DVD codes are 020, 014...Hope this helps.
