Sorry for all the questions but is it ok to hook up the PS3 to a surge protector and not have any issues? or do most of you plug it directly into the wall?

I plug mine into a power conditioner/surge protector, it cannot hurt

plugging into a surge protector can save it from being fried from a sudden spike in electrical current, rare but it does happen

I have mine hooked up to a surge protector. I would highly recommend it.
