I have a Gefen HDMI 4 x 1 switch that is functioning properly with the little remote they gave me. The issue I am having is getting my Harmony 520 to transmit the remote signal to my RF Extender. I bought an RF Extender that uses an a battery inside the remote to send the signal to my RF receiver unit. All my other devices receive the RF signal EXCEPT for my Gefen switch. I have learned the signals to my remote and used the Harmony database to assign the remote codes to the remote, but that has not solved the problem.
I do not believe this is a remote issue because all my other devices work fine. This could be an RF Extender issue, but then why do all the other remote signals work fine. I was hoping someone else has had the same issue and solved it.
Can anyone help?

Did you try swapping emmiters with another device? Maybe the gefen piece has a very sensitive ir sensor you might try moving the emmiter off to the side of the sensor. Could be light hitting the gefen sensor disrupting the ir signal. Possibly the Harmony may not be learning the code correctly.

The issue isn't the switch receiving the code it is the extender not receiveing the RF. There is a light that blinks on the RF extender everytime I click a remote button. The light does not blink when I click any of the Gefen buttons on my remote, but I am able to change switch input using the same remote outside of the RF Extender. I believe it is some issue with the extender not reciever what ever code the Gefen switch use from the battery RF Emitter... maybe the gefen switches use some weird IR code that the extender does not recognize....
Is anyone able to control their gefen switch with this kind of RF extender built into the battery? If so, how did you get it to work.
