This is very cool. The video is running the PC version but the "tornado" is amazing.

As Seen At The Leipzig Games Conference!

AGEIA PhysX owners will get the unique opportunity to tear up Unreal Tournament 3™ through some exclusive and revolutionary new features never before seen in PC games!

Our first sneak peek includes a look at in-game footage of a PhysX-powered mod featuring a tornado which tears the battlefield apart as the game progresses. In addition, the tornado actually sucks rockets into the vortex if they're fired too close and presents a real moving hazard to the player.

This new mod for Unreal Tournament 3 will include:

New levels of environmental destruction with true gameplay impact!
Full multiplayer capabilities
Maximum-Impact PhysX using the full capabilities of the AGEIA PhysX Processor

Pretty cool. Is that environment only or a new weapon?

Damn funny how he ends the video with him camping the flag with teh sniper, classic CTF strategy :)

Looks fantastic, you can tell they still have some work to do but looks damn fun.

This is not retail UT3 though....it's a mod for the game that was built by Aegis to show off their PC PhysX processor.

I rememer reading about this AEGIA hardware chip a while back, very cool. I do remember reading that Sony was looking to include it in the PS3 hardware specs but nothing more than that. Did it ever get put in ? I don't think it did. That really is a disapointment knowing what it can do.

On the other hand games like Bioshock show that you can have some very realistic physics from just the software side of things. I know that when I get around to building another computer I am going to get an AEGIA card.

This is probably the first time that I saw a video of someone playing a game that actually knew what they were doing. This and Kojima playing his game.
